The Carbonated Beverage Production Process — Step by Step

Step 1: Water Treatment

Carbonated beverages are 90%+ water, so water quality is paramount. Boyuan's Pure Water Reverse Osmosis System produces water with TDS below 10 ppm — the standard required for carbonated drinks. The system includes:

Multi-media pre-filtration
Activated carbon filtration
RO membrane purification
UV sterilization
Degassing tower (to remove dissolved oxygen before carbonation)

The Degassing Tower is a critical piece of equipment unique to carbonated lines. It removes CO₂ and O₂ from the water, ensuring that when you add carbonation later, the gas dissolves evenly and consistently.

Step 2: Syrup Preparation and Mixing

Boyuan's Sugar Dissolver Tank and Mixing Tank are used to prepare the concentrated syrup. The Emulsification Equipment ensures that flavor oils and colorants are properly dispersed. The Gas-liquid Mixing Machine is then used to blend the syrup with treated water at precise ratios.

Isobaric filling technology — maintains carbonation during filling (no foam, no gas loss)
Speed: 12,000–36,000 BPH (200ml–2L bottles)

Step 5: Sterilization (Optional for Carbonated Drinks)
